So, it would seem that silly season is upon us again. Although not quite as intense as banding silly season in the UK its still enough to keep you on your toes.
I'm having a bit of a fight to get up to spec again in time for the Australian Nationals which fast approaching and I'm going to be a bit of a busy girl. As well as the band, ive also entered the solo's, then we (Brissy XLCR) are going to NZ for the band champs there and im planning on entering the solo's as well....and so it goes on.
See, I had a bit of an extended break from playing after the British Open Solos and what I had planned to be a couple of weeks put down turned into a 3 month 'I've had enough of playing' mini crisis.
It wasn't until I made a recent trip to see my buddy Conrad Curry that I got enough inspiration to play again and am really enjoying things again. Cheers Curry!!
From other quarters, many people have been making an effort to inspire me again, including brissy XLCR conductor Howard Taylor, who has been pushing me back into playing solo's so I'm doing 'The
Watermill' at our next concert on the 18th March.
I will get there.....I always do.
Send me some inspirational messages, I would appreciate it
